Congratulations, Nick and Starr!
Finally! My favorite team wins The Amazing Race! I loved them and wanted to win ever since the southern belles were eliminated. And when the belles were eliminated, it was early in the race, so I hadn’t really had a chance to like Nick and Starr yet.
I’m sorry, I know that I cried at the end when Ken asked Tina to wear the wedding ring again, and I’m very happy for them if he can get over her insufferability, but I sooo did not want Ken & Tina to win. I liked him, even though he was the cheater. But she was so awful to him! And I get it. I get the need to treat him like crap because of the cheating — I was cheated on in my first marriage. But don’t pretend you want to work it out if all you want to do is make him kiss up to you while you treat him like he’s a child! Either you love him and can be in a marriage with him, or you can’t. I don’t like her (hard) because she just wants a slave. She makes me want to RARR.
Anyway. It would have been so hilarious and SO wrong if Dandrew had won, right? They kind of fumbled and lazed their way through the entire race. Their winning would have made TAR a joke. It would have been like Kellie Pickler winning. Am I right? Yes.
As to Terrance and Sarah — wow. What a girl he was! I can’t count on two hands and two feet the number of times I yelled at the screen for him to MAN UP! Tool tool tool tool tool.
So here are the reasons I loved Nick and Starr: 1) always wore camo. I dig that, because it makes me think they support the troops. 2) Didn’t fight, were always supportive of each other. 3) Were AWESOME. 4) Were dominant. 5) Brother & sister duo. How cute is that?
One more thing. I felt so bad for Toni and Dallas when Dallas left the money and passports in the cab. Didn’t you? And it’s funny, because I never had a reason to not like them. They were nice and strong and mother/son. I kind of irrationally disliked Toni, just because I got the feeling that she was a Democrat. But I also recognized at the time that it was completely irrational, and there are plenty of Democrats that I do like. ANYWAY. I wanted them in the finals, because despite my irrationality, I liked them. So did y’all notice that they weren’t there at the finish line when Nick and Starr won? We looked for them everywhere and never saw them. My guess is that they were still in Russia, trying to procure new passports from the American embassy. Because losing your passport while overseas? Kind of a big deal. At least that’s the impression I got from ALIAS and Paulina Simons’s novels.
